What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a unique dermal filler made of biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and water. Most dermal fillers work by adding immediate volume, but Sculptra works differently. It’s actually more of a volumizer than a filler because it stimulates your body to make its own new collagen over time. 

Collagen growth also comes with greatly improved skin hydration. Sculptra produces a noticeable skin glow, restoring a more youthful appearance. 

Many patients look 10-15 years* younger after Sculptra treatment, a result that’s generally not achievable with other dermal fillers or nonsurgical treatments.

How does the Sculptra treatment process work?

You’ll receive numbing injections beforehand so the treatment process is comfortable. The team uses a slim, blunt cannula to inject Sculptra at key points in the face. 

This process distributes the product at the ideal depth and in the optimal position to kick-start your new collagen production. The team gently massages the treatment area and gives you instructions for facial massage at home over the new few days. This helps the Sulptra spread out well. 

You can generally return to your normal activities quickly after your Sculptra injections. 

When will I see Sculptra results?

After your injections, you’ll usually have some mild swelling, but it goes away in a day or two and you probably won’t notice any changes. 

But, over a couple of months, you’ll build up collagen steadily. That’s usually when you’ll notice that you look much younger. Sculptra always gives you a natural look. You'll never look overfilled because it’s your body’s very own collagen.

How long does Sculptra last?

After your initial treatment course (usually two or three treatments, one month apart), you’ll enjoy about two years* of results. But, while Sculptra lasts a long time, the aging process continues. 

To remain at your preferred appearance, Juno Aesthetics recommends touch-ups (not the full treatment course) about once a year.
